Safmarine improves transit times on SIMAP Service

Multi-trade carrier Safmarine has upgraded its weekly SIMAP – Safmarine India, Middle East, America, Pakistan - service by including a direct call at Muscat and significantly reducing transit times, according to Safmarine Liner Director, Ivan Heesom-Green.
Asia Lines' Trade Executive, Paul De Coster added: "Two examples of reduced transit times are from Nhava Sheva to Charleston (now 18 days compared to 25) and Newark to Jebel Ali (down from 26 to 20 days)."
Port rotation on the revised SIMAP service is as follows: Charleston, Norfolk, Newark, Algeciras, Jeddah, Salalah, Muscat, Jebel Ali, Nhava Sheva, Salalah, Charleston.
Canada will also be incorporated in the Simap product as of 15 February, with a call at Halifax. Examples of transit times are Nhava Sheva to Halifax (22 days) and Jebel Ali to Halifax (26 days).
