Building the quay wall at Durban

In an earlier news bulletin Ports & Ships reported that the first concrete caisson had been towed across Durban Bay to a temporary storage position near G berth at the Point.

Since then additional caissons have similarly been moved from Bayhead, where they are being manufactured, and once the trenching is complete they will be placed in position and lowered onto site to form a new deepwater quay wall for the Point multi purpose terminal.
