Navy recruiting key personnel

South African Navy personnel will descend on East London today for a week-long recruitment drive aimed at finding candidates for the key areas of diving, submarines and navy technicians.

According to the Daily Dispatch posts are open in the navy for young men and women who are physically fit and have passed grade 12 with mathematics and science at school. The navy’s Lt.Cmdr Prince Tshabalala told the newspaper that candidates who were also between the ages of 23 and 26 with a tertiary qualification in a technical field like N3, N4, N5 and N6 could apply.
