German Navy in Cape Town

Three visiting German Navy warships paid a courtesy visit to the port of Cape Town this past week when they berthed in the Victoria Basin.

The ships called earlier at the South African Simon’s Town Naval Base and later conducted naval exercises off the coast with ships of the South African Navy, including the navy’s latest commissioned ship, SAS Amatola.
