Once the cruise is over and the ship has returned you to Singapore you transfer to the luxurious Marriott Hotel in the heart of the island city, where another two days of exploring and time to get lost in a shopper’s dream world awaits. Your second and last night in the city includes dining at one of Singapore’s finest restaurants with a visit to the famous Raffles Long Bar thrown in.
The special fare from Johannesburg is R19,950 per person sharing and includes upper grade balcony cabin, private transfers, deluxe accommodation on land, escorted tours and gourmet experiences. Plus the sights and a sampling of the East! Special domestic airline rates can be arranged.
The tour departs Johannesburg on 4 March 2006 from Johannesburg International Airport, economy class on Singapore Airlines, for Changi International Airport, Singapore.
On arrival in Singapore you transfer to your hotel with a morning at leisure, before leaving at 13.00 to join the ship. Five nights of luxury cruising follow, visiting the places mentioned above. On 10 March the SuperStar Virgo returns you to Singapore where you transfer to the Marriott Hotel.
Once settled in you have time to visit the famous Waterfront area, the Fullerton Hotel and the Asian Civilization Museum. After that stroll across the Padang to Raffles City, sip cocktails on the 75th floor of the Swiss Stanford Hotel before enjoying a conducted tour behind the scenes of Raffles Hotel. No visit to Singapore is complete without experiencing the world-famous Singapore Sling at The Long Bar in Raffles Hotel. After that a day of experiences can only be finished with an evening with Chef Chan, which promises an unbelievable dining experience.
On the following morning, 11 March you explore Little India and Tekka Market filled with the sights, sounds and smells of India. Lunch at Little India before retuning to the Marriott and some last minute shopping ahead of your final evening in Singapore.
Your farewell to Singapore is said in style as you dine in one of the city’s finest restaurants, before transferring to Changi International Airport and your flight home, arriving at JIA on 12 March 2006.
